Jessica Pressey, PhD

Assistant Professor

Jessica completed her doctoral studies in the Woodin lab where her project focused on investigating cellular mechanisms regulating KCC2 function during inhibitory spike-timing dependent plasticity, as well as examined how protein-protein interactions with the kainate receptor subunit GluK2 promoted KCC2 membrane recycling and function in the neuronal membrane. Subsequently, Jessica completed her post-doctoral research in the Sabine Lévi and Jean-Christophe Poncer lab, where she examined how adenosine signaling via the A2a receptor regulated inhibitory synapse formation during the period of synaptogenesis.
