Xinyi graduated from Nanjing University, China in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences. Her undergraduate study with Dr. Guoqiang Bi focused on synaptic protein specific binding probes and super-resolution imaging. She joined Woodin lab in 2017 after graduation. Xinyi is interested in inhibitory spike-timing dependent plasticity in the cortex. She is currently working on subtypes of GABAergic interneurons induced plasticity in the primary motor cortex by combining patch-clamp recordings with optogenetic strategies.
